Raising a Total Godly Family in times like this

And I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites pots full of wine, and cups, and I said unto them, Drink ye wine. But they said, We will drink no wine: for Jonadab the son of Rechab our father commanded us, saying, Ye shall drink no wine, neither ye, nor your sons for ever: Neither shall ye build house, nor sow seed, nor plant vineyard, nor have any: but all your days ye shall dwell in tents; that ye may live many days in the land where ye be strangers. Thus have we obeyed the voice of Jonadab the son of Rechab our father in all that he hath charged us, to drink no wine all our days, we, our wives, our sons, nor our daughters; Nor to build houses for us to dwell in: neither have we vineyard, nor field, nor seed: But we have dwelt in tents, and have obeyed, and done according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us.  Jer. 35:5-10, 18-19

The generation like the sons of Rechab exists today as discovered in certain Christian homes where you still find their children boys and girls getting married at the of 27-32 as virgins. As a pastor I have joined many in holy wedlock in recent years with these great testimonies from the spouses. We have recorded genuinely converted sons and daughters to God with a total departure from their old lives of sinfulness. What can be the secret of such families and children? I discover the secret in five cardinal things:

  1. Faithful family altar
  2. Purposeful family life
  3. Exemplary family life
  4. Godly discipline life
  5. Painstaking investment life

We shall discuss each of these points below:

The phrase faithful family altar means a well planned structured family Bible Study, worship and prayer time. It is called faithful because it is strictly adhered to. It is not off and on thing but constant and maintained. It is amazing how few families really take this seriously and practice this routinely. It is the best guarantee to have Christian children with good moral standards that do not drift through the teen years; to have a family that has a witness for Christ in the community, and to have a family that takes the church seriously and enjoys going to all the services. BUT MANY FAMILIES PREFER CIRCULAR EDUCATION (SCHOOL) TO FAMILY ALTAR. It ought not to be so. Please, let us read – Deut. 6:4-7.

What is the purpose of the family alter?

  1. To worship God together and learn more of His ways. We sing praises, worship and learn that God is the creator and only Him must be worshiped.
  2. To hear God’s word and to live by it. Home is the best place to read the bible. Ask question and practice it. In this days when technology has removed Bible in our society, we should install it in our homes.
  3. To establish the family in the faith, personal convictions and doctrine. Children and young people need convictions to stand up against their peers. They must know God personally and know what they believe and why. Don’t protect them but equip them to face this technologically satanic controlled world. The home is the best Bible school.
  4. To pray over family problems and needs, burdens the children may have, and that they have confidence in God that answers prayer in the everyday things of life. All the members of the family have personal needs. It would be good if they could learn to share them openly and take them before the Lord together. Dad, mummy, children needs should be prayed on.
  5. To pray and intercede for others such as the pastor, sick folk, unsaved loved ones, the neighbours, friends, church etc. Children who can learn to pray openly at home will have no problem praying publicly in the church as they grow.

Your family altar could be made more interesting by making it short, allow questions, allow participation, discussion and Holy Spirit to lead always.

A purposeful family is a family that is raising children with a purpose and future in mind. This is what we see in the life of Abraham. God spoke about him in Gen. 18:19 “For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him and they shall keep the way of the Lord to do justice and judgement; that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him”. You must have a purpose as a family and for each member of the family. This is possible through this five steps.

  1. Define the purpose of your family -ie what you stand for. The husband and wife must define it before the arrival of the children, it must be communicated to the children also Rechab define this purpose to the children. Jer. 35:5-10 “And I set before the sons of the house of the Rechabites pots full of wine, and cups, and I said unto them, Drink ye wine.
  2. Discuss the purpose of your family with each member of the family. For instance, you must let each person know you are Christians and only Christian virtues must be pursued, possessed and displayed.
  3. Discover the purpose of each member of the family in life and God’s agenda. You must help by the grace and spirit of God as parents what God wanted for each of you and the children. No wonder Rebecca went to discover the purpose of the children in her womb (Gen 26:1-3) and Jacob knew the mission of Joseph hence he made for him a garment of many colours (Gen 37:1-4).
  4. Develop the purpose and vision of the family. You must develop your children in line with their career and purpose of God for them. Your children must grow day by day in agreement with their future in mind; spiritually, academically and physically etc. Abraham was a shepherd, Esau a hunter. David a shepherd the brothers warriors. (I Sam 16:1-13).
  5. Drive the purpose to destination of actualisation by counsel, prayer, rebuke and love. Do you have a purposeful family life?

Example is better than precept. Apostle Paul said in 1 Cor 11:1 “Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ”. Apostle Paul told Timothy in 2nd Timothy 2:2 “And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also”. Hello, can you pray and say to your children that they should say and do what you are doing. This can only be achieved by these ways:

  1. Daily Christian life
  2. Daily Christian purpose
  3. Daily Christian ministry.

Wake up and display the right kind of attitude and character you want your children to emulate.

You have to discipline yourself and your children. Heb 12:6-12, Prov 3:11-12 “My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth”. Prov 13:24 “He that spareth his rod hateth his son: but he that loveth him chasteneth him betimes.” Prov 23:14 “Thou shalt beat him with the rod, and shalt deliver his soul from hell.”

However, you should not only beat the child. You can use other corporal punishment and minor ones. But three things are important:

  1. Rebuke with love
  2. Rebuke with intention of correction
  3. Rebuke and restore the child in the way of the Lord.

Please, you must train your children not only rebuking in Prov 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” Eph 6:4 “And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord.”  These scriptures means three things:

  1. Invest your time in him/her by living, cleaving and abiding with each other. Don’t be an absent father or mother in the name of looking for money or doing ministry learn from Eli.
  2. Invest your treasure in him/her by giving him/her the best education from creche to university. Education they say is the best legacy or inheritance. Spend your money to train your children and your spouse.
  3. Invest your talent in him/her by leading him/her to do things that will lead to discovery of God’s purpose and fulfilment of life plan for him/her.

In conclusion, if all these fails don’t fail to do these in your family daily – Prayer, counsel and care. Please, show concern, compassion and love with understanding. God will grant us the grace not to fail as parents, children and families. It is well in Jesus name.

The 12P’s of Excellent Life

Twelve in God’s programme stands for excellent number, perfect establishment and great government. We have twelve tribes of Israel, twelve apostles/disciples of Jesus Christ and the heavenly city has twelve gates, twelve angels and twelve foundations, this is because twelve stands for excellency.

These twelve P’s is necessary for excellent life now and hereafter.

  1. PURITY is the noun of the word pure which means good, innocent and holy.

Purity is the key to have access to God’s presence where you obtain all the necessities of life. Hear this “Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.” (Psalm 24:3-5). Do you desire to receive your blessings from God? or access his presence for a present you have being praying for? Then be pure, the answer is purity. If you can be holy before Him, all that you desire shall be granted, for without holiness no man shall see nor receive from God. Avoid corruption, it is the opposite of purity.

  1. PLAN is the proposal, diagram and intention of how a thing would be achieved. If you fail to plan, you have planned to fail. Jesus said in Luke 14:28-30 “For which of you, intending to build a tower, sitteth not down first, and counteth the cost, whether he have sufficient to finish it? Lest haply, after he hath laid the foundation, and is not able to finish it, all that behold it begin to mock him, Saying, This man began to build, and was not able to finish”. You must always plan, think ahead, consider many things, consult and seek advice before embarking on anything. Your plan is the driver to your destination. Those who failed to plan usually fail and go back to plan after failure. This ought not to be, plan first and adjust the plan as you progress during execution. Your vision and ambition and future must be planned for. You will not regret in Jesus name.
  2. PRAYER is the medium of communication between man and God. I discovered that every being prays – the Christians, the atheist, the Muslim, the idolaters etc. This is because without prayer achievement is very difficult. It is written in Psalm 37:5 “Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” The only means by which you can commit your ways, plans, purpose, programmes, work, education, marriage unto the Lord is to pray unto Him. Jesus commanded us to pray without ceasing (Lk 18:1). Likewise, Apostle Paul reiterated in 1 Thes 5:17 “Pray without ceasing”. Although, many people pray wrongly, but you must pray aright. The prayer God will answer must be offered in the name of Jesus, in HOLINESS and in FAITH (John 9:31). Please pray unto God every time, everyday before you begin to execute your daily plans. Don’t go to herbalist house rather go to His presence in prayer. He will answer you – “call upon me and I will answer you” is God’s promise (Jer 33:3)
  3. POWER is the ability to do something, strength and energy to carry out our plan. I brought in the issue of power because I know that we need power. But I want to sound a note of warning here that the power you need must be from God – Holy Spirit power. The power from any other source will lead to doom, destruction and regrets. Don’t get power from herbalist, satanic means, kingdom of darkness, cultism, fraternity, mammy water spirit, secret cults, etc. The power of charm, rings, amulets and India altars are destructive. The only power you need is the power of God – this power of God comes with power of wisdom, power to make wealth, power to excel, power of knowledge, power of achievement etc. In Deut 8:18  “… Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth…” This is the reason you need power. The world is full of different power, so you need the power of God to overcome them. The ways to posses God’s power is by being born again, by praying for the power and exercise faith in His ability to give the power. Our Lord Jesus Christ could not carry out all he did without the power of God.

It is written in Acts 10:38 “ How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”

  1. PREPARATION is the act of preparing or getting ready for a thing. Preparation precedes execution in life. Proper preparation prevents poor performance. You have to prepare yourself for whatever thing you want to do. Plan and preparation are not the same. Plan is the written while preparation is practical. An athlete will prepare adequately before the event. In Prov 24:27 it is written “Prepare thy work without, and make it fit for thyself in the field; and afterwards build thine house.” Before every examination you must read that is preparation, before every interview you must get ready, before every competition you must practice that is preparation. Nothing must be done without proper and adequate preparation. The failure recorded in any endeavour is as a result of lack or poor preparation. It is not enough to plan, prepare very well to achieve the plan.
  2. PURSUE is to follow in order to catch or achieve a goal. It is to engage in an activity to achieve your target. You must not plan, prepare you must prove your plans to logical conclusion. Don’t just plan and sit down, you must rise up and pursue your vision vigorously.

David in the Bible came back from war and discovered that another nation (the Amalekites) had attacked his city and carried his wives, children and other people and he wept until they had no strength to weep, but God said, you don’t have to weep, rise up go after them, pursue them, then you will recover.

In 1Samuel 30:8 “…and God answered him, Pursue: for thou shalt surely overtake them, and without fail recover all”.

Friends, don’t sit down and watch things happen and escape your grip. Get up, rise up, pursue your goals vigorously and you will achieve your target and plans. No man ever remain at the place of wishes and receive congratulation wishes but he must pursue and win to be celebrated and congratulated.

Common pursue your goals and you will get them done.

  1. PRODUCTIVITY is the efficiency with which things are produced or done. You must be diligent, hardworking, dexterous in all your ways and days. If you are not productive then you are barren. Productivity is bringing forth fruits, result that cancels insult, gold in your goal pursuit. A productive person becomes the friends of all people. You must not die a consumer, you must be a producer. In Gen 1:11 God said let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yield seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth and it was so.

Brethren, God created you to be productive and the capacity is in you. Jesus cursed a fig tree on his way to Bethany because it failed to bring forth a fruit (Mk 11:14). Don’t blame anybody for your inability to produce, you should rather pray and work hard to bring forth a fruit. Your fruit is your result. You must ensure you get good result and positive result so that you can sing songs of praise and people can congratulate you.

  1. PERSEVERANCE is to continue in time of difficulty or lack of success. I want to encourage you that you must continue to pursue your plan even in the face of difficulty because nothing good comes easy. You have heard that Abraham Lincoln failed nine times to reach his goal but at last he became American president in 1968. Do you remember that Michael Faraday failed 99 times before he got the electricity that the world is using today. Don’t give up, if you give up you will have no testimony of success to tell others. The key is perseverance. I want to assure you that you are closer to the breakthrough point and better equipped than the way you started, you can perform better now, go ahead you will have breakthrough in Jesus name.
  2. PATIENCE is the ability to accept delay or trouble calmly. It is not a sin if you don’t get it at once or quickly. Please, exercise patience, take your time, examine your strategies and go ahead you will definitely get that goal. Have you read in your Bible that let patience have perfect work in you (James 1:4). In Luke 8:15 – God said bring forth fruit with patience. There are different things that teaches patience in life – a baby in the womb must spend 9 months and at last a baby is born.

It is good to run fast but patience ensures safety and careful accomplishment. If you are experiencing delay, it is not denial, you will definitely have your child, admission, work and miracle. Don’t run from God to other means, God will not fail you, wait upon Him, He will bring your expectation to manifestation and your celebration will come. Though it tarry, it will surely come to pass, have patience.

  1. PARDON is forgiveness. In your race in life, you will be offended. To err is human to forgive is divine. Pardon yourself and others, so that you will not turn offence to fence you against your progress and helpers. In Micah 7:18 it is written “Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.” Remember, if you don’t forgive others God will not forgive you. When you are not forgiven your prayer will not be answered. So learn to pardon and your life will radiate the glory of God.
  2. PUBLISH is to produce a book or make a public declaration. It is necessary to always make a public declaration of your faith, preach also to others, tell them about Jesus Christ. You can also write a tract, publish a book. In academic world the palance is publish or perish.

In Deut 32:3, 2Sam 1:20 – God said we should publish our faith in the streets. In Acts 13:49 – it is written the word of the Lord was published everywhere.

Have you told somebody today about Jesus, what about last month, by your character, lifestyle and words of your mouth you publish.

12 PARTNERSHIP – means each of two or more people who are involved in an undertaking. It takes two hands to make a clap. No man can succeed alone. Please, look for a person whom you can be a blessing to and also be a blessing to you. If you want to go far walk with somebody. You can accomplish more when you get the right partner. Be careful the kind of partners you have. Amos 3:3 “can two walk together, except they be agreed?”

Finally, look for a helpmeet for yourself. Gen 2:18 “And the Lord God said, it is not good that the man is alone; I will make him an help meet for him”.

God bless you with an excellent life. Amen.

But there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. (Job 32:8)

Gen 3:14-15; Ezekiel 28:13-18; Isaiah 14:12-15; Rev. 12:1-17; Job 1:7 Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of a thing or a person is a compulsory weapon for complete victory over a thing or a person.

It is a pleasure to unmask the mysteries around the only ENEMY OF divinity and HUMANITY – SATAN, so that we can enjoy complete permanent victory over him.

We shall discuss this issue under the following sub-topics:

We have a good understanding of whom the Lucifer (Satan) was at the beginning. He was created by God. (Gen 1:1) He was the anointed Cherub that covereth on the holy mountain of God and walketh up and down in the midst of the stones of fire. He was created powerful, beautiful and perfect. The other angels were aware of this important virtues. Then he was known as LUCIFER, son of the morning (Isaiah 14:12) and was an angel of God who leads others to praise God in God’s presence.

The lesson to be learnt here is “Let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall”. (1 Cor 10:12).

THE SATAN AFTER HIS FALL.  Isaiah 14:12-18; Job 1:7; 1Peter 5:8; Rev. 12:1-17.

The causes of the fall of Lucifer are these:

  1. Pride: “Pride goeth before destruction, an haughty spirit before a fall”. Satan’s heart was lifted, that is pride – Isaiah 14:13-14 “For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, …I will be like the most High.”
  2. Iniquity – This is crime against God. Ezekiel 28:15 “Thou wast perfect in thy ways from the day that thou wast created, till INIQUITY was found in thee.” Satan committed iniquity which is a sin against God established laws. In Habakkuk 1:13, it is written, “the Holy one cannot look on iniquity”. Many of you are committing iniquity, it is a crime against God.
  3. Carnal ambition“I will be like the Most High” Isaiah 14:14. This is ungodly ambition, every desire and ambition against God’s purpose will definitely attracts defeat and God’s punishment. Check your ambition, is it carnal or ungodly, if it is then seek counsel and take a step of change.
  4. The consequences of Satan’s fall are:
  5. Cast out of heaven Isaiah 14:12
  6. Lost his position in heaven Ezekiel 28:14
  7. Assume new duties on earth Rev. 12:9
  8. Became enemy of God and man Gen 3:14-15
  9. Doomed to spend his eternity in lake of fire. Rev 20:10

Satan’s focus was shifted from heaven and God on to human being whom the Lord has given dominion over all He has made (Gen 1:28). Also, whom the Lord has prepared heaven for, ie eternity with God in heaven.

The following became the ways the devil is arresting and enslaving human being in his own kingdom so as to make them his companion in lake of fire.

  1. Deception – Gen 3:1-5, he deceived man by promising them power, wealth, glory and many other things as he did to Jesus Christ in Matthew 4:1-10. He told Jesus to worship him and he will give him all things – glory, power, wealth of this earth but Jesus Christ rebuke the devil and he left Jesus Christ alone. The devil devices has not changed, so be wise. God is the owner and custodian of glory, power and wealth – 1 Chron 29:10-12.
  2. Suggestion John 13:2. The devil gives advice and suggestions to us, we must be careful whose advice and suggestion we are taking like Jonadab who advised Amnon to rape Tamar – 1 Sam 13:1-5.
  3. Temptation – Matt. 4:1-10. The devil will usually distract us with what attracts us and tempt us with what we usually desire. It comes like a subtle prompting from your inside/mind be careful, every ungodly desire is a temptation of the devil unto our destruction.
  4. Gratification of the flesh – James 1:13-14. “…Everyone is tempted when he is drawn away of his lust and enticed”. You must control your flesh which is the tool of Satan for temptation and destruction – your eyes, your sexual organs, your hand, your legs, your brain etc.
  5. Persecution, Affliction, Accusation – Rev. 12:5-6; John 15:20; 2 Cor 4:17; Acts 20:23. When you are faced with persecution and affliction the devil is at work to make you run from God to him because he has his agents, eg herbalist, with doctors, false prophets, talisman, fake religious leaders, marabas etc.
  6. Oppression, Depression, Obsession, Opposition – Acts 10:38; Matt. 26:41; 1Cor 4:10; 1John 2:8,22; 4:3. The devil could use any of these methods to arrest and enslave anyone who is not taking Jesus Christ as his Lord and Saviour and abide in the holy way. At times, he suggests suicide which is a direct result of depression and obsession. You will not be a victim of any of these in Jesus name.
  7. Possession (John 7:20, 8:48; Matt 4:24) The devil can take full possession of a person by casting his spirit upon and into such a person. Remember in Mark 5:1-15. A man fully possessed by evil spirit whom Jesus healed casting out the legion verse 15 records “And they come to Jesus, and see him that was possessed with the devil, and had the legion, sitting, and clothed, and in his right mind: and they were afraid.” This is the work of the devil, please be prayerful and if you notice anything strange cast out the devil in Jesus name.

We can overcome the devil/satan and live a victorious life if only we can do the following:

  1. The power of salvation – You must accept Jesus Christ into your life after you might confess your sins, forsake them and call on Jesus to come into your life. 1John 5:4-5; Rev. 3:20-21.
  2. The power of prayer – Luke 18:1. A life of prevailing prayer is necessary using only the name of Jesus.
  3. The power of the blood of Jesus Christ Rev 12:11 – Always plead the blood of Jesus Christ and cover yourself with it.
  4. The power of Jesus’ name Prov 18:10; Mark 16:17 – Use the name of Jesus in your prayers always. Phil 2:9-11
  5. The power of the Word of God (Bible) Eph 6:14-17- Always pray using the word of the Bible against the devil.
  6. The power of Holy Ghost and fire 2 Kings 1: 10-15. Ask and receive the Holy Ghost and fire unto your life. You must receive Holy Ghost baptism. Matt 3:11
  7. The power of Holiness and Faith John 14:30 – You must live a holy life and always have positive testimony which is the confession of your faith. 1John 5:4

Conclusion: “Submit yourselves therefore to God, RESIST THE DEVIL and he will flee from you” (James 4:7). Don’t play with the devil, he is looking for whom to devour (1Pet 5:8). Therefore, love not the world and things in the world (worldly system, tradition, fashion, culture) the devil uses them to trap Christians. You will make heaven in Jesus name.

God’s Trumpets

God’s Trumpets are the last days saints who are ordained to call people to repentance and holy living.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: (1 Thes 4:16)

In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (1 Cor. 15:52)

God’s trumpet is also the last sound to assemble the saints of the Lord.

(1) The history of trumpet in the bible

The history of trumpet in the bible has diverse connotations. The following are the major ones:

  1. Instrument during services of sacrifice eg. Day of atonement (Lev 25:9).
  2. An instrument to rally troops for battle (Joshua 6:4)
  3. An instrument to sound attack (Job 39:24-25)
  4. An instrument to sound alarm (Jer 6:1, Amos 3:6)
  5. An instrument to signal peace and war (Num 10:2-9)
  6. An instrument to sound jubilation (Num 10:10)
  7. An instrument of music and worship (Psalm 98:6)

The above are the original uses of trumpets.

However, in the new testament in Matt 6:2 Jesus warned that we should not sound trumpets when giving our alms as the hypocrites. Trumpet draws attention of people to something.

(2) The duties of God’s Trumpets

God’s trumpets are the saints whose duties in this end time are to do the following:

(a) Calls people to repentance: Every believer who is genuinely converted and saved has the mandate to call people to repentance for he/she is God’s trumpet – Luke 16:29-31.

(b) Calls people to holy living: In this end time it ‘doesn’t matter’ has replaced holiness. You cannot differentiate a Christian from a non-christian. If we cannot distinguish you in terms of your outlook, and outward features, you are not God’s trumpet. You can only give what you have, before you can call others to holy living, you must be holy. Thus, God’s trumpets call people to holy living because they are holy. Matt 7:1-5. In this case you must be an example and epitome of holiness.

( c) Calls people to remember heaven. The preachers of nowadays call people to materialism. Only few call people remember heaven. It is very unfortunate that most christians don’t remember heaven daily. The daily activities of what we shall eat, wear, achieve and show to people has shifted our focus from heaven. Jesus said, seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and the other things shall be added unto us (Matt 6:33). The reason for our labour without favour and good result is that we are seeking other things first and God last. God is the creator of all things, the wisest, the biggest, the greatest, source of all resources said seek me first and human said we shall seek what you created first. No wonder we fast and pray no answer, we work and work no commensurate reward, we labour for others to eat and we run after them, those things also run from us. I love Trumpeter David in Psalm 23:5-6 “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.” David did first thing first, goodness and mercy pursued him. He was not pursuing them, they pursued him. Many of us recite this after prayers without knowing that there is a process before a product, there is contest before conquest. If you do the right things, things will be right with you. SEEK GOD FIRST AND ALL OTHER THINGS (name it) SHALL BE ADDED TO YOU.

(d) Calls people to satanic devices. This world has a prince which is the devil. All the things in this world is under the prince especially things against Godliness. In James 4:4 states: “Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.” God’s trumpeters are here to raise alarm and call attention to satanic stylistic devices to ensnare, enslave and entice believers to sin and hell. It is our duties to make a declaration from hell and lake of fire 2Tim 2:26.

Will you join the God’s trumpets? If your answer is yes, then you need the following qualifications for admission: Genuine salvation, genuine desire to make heaven, uncompromising hatred for worldliness and sin, unquenchable hunger to save souls and prevailing prayers to prevail over the devil daily. Finally, you must feed on the Word of God daily and allow the Holy Spirit to lead you daily.

(3) The Trumpeters in the Bible

  1. The priests
  2. The singers
  3. The angels
  4. The saints
  5. The prophets

These are the consecrated servants of God. Please you can join them. It is the trumpet that will announce the rapture.

God’s Trumpets are assigned unto this work in this end time. Awake. He is coming soon.

Avoiding 12 killers of glorious life (Part II)

A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the foolish/simple pass on, and are punished.  (Prov. 27:12)

Every enemy of your glorious life shall fall before you never to rise forever in Jesus name. You are destined and born great, you will achieve greatness. But it is necessary to avoid what will destroy your greatness as a wise person.

In part one of this presentation we looked at disobedience, anger, lie, lust, stealing and negligence. In this paper we will consider the other six and you will be blessed.

  1. LAZINESS: This is an act of not doing things very well. Many that are born great failed to achieve greatness because of laziness. It is written in Prov 13:4 that the SOUL OF THE SLUGGARD DESIRETH AND HAD NOTHING: BUT THE SOUL OF THE DILIGENT SHALL BE MADE FAT.

Diligent/hardwork is the opposite of laziness/slothfulness. You have to terminate laziness in your lifestyle to become great and to turn ambition into reality and bring your vision into actualisation. In Proverb 6:6-11, the lazy man was given a counsel “go to the ant, thou sluggard, consider her ways, and be wise, which having no guide, overseer or ruler provideth her meat/food in the summer and gathereth her food in harvest. How long will thou sleep, O sluggard? When will thou arise out of thy sleep? Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: so shall thy poverty come as one that traveleth and fly wants as an armed man” The hand of the diligent shall bear rule but the hand of the lazy shall be under slavery. You are born to rule don’t die a slave as a result of laziness. Wake up, you will make it in Jesus name.

  1. WRONG COUNSEL. This means wrong advice. Anyone who takes wrong counsel like our brother Rehoboam. Rehoboam the son of Solomon was chosen to become king after his father King Solomon. But before his coronation, the Israelites called him to declare his manifestos/plan for them. He told them to give three days to seek counsel. He sought counsel from elders and also from friends who are young like him. At the end of three days when the people gathered to hear his plan, he declared the wrong counsel given to him by his young friends. Consequently the whole kingdom of Israel which was made up of twelve tribes divided unto two, ten went away from him and only two followed him. Consequently, he ruled as a king over only two tribes instead of twelve because of wrong counsel. Please kindly read the book of I Kings 12:1-16. Don’t forget that Ammon raped his half-sister Tamar because of wrong advice received from his young friend Jonadab (2 Sam 13:1-5). It is written that evil communications corrupts good manners (I Cor 15:33). My advice to you is to always seek counsel from old wise holy people and not your young inexperience mates. Good counsel leads to great and glorious achievements.
  2. PRIDE: Thinking/boasting more than whom you are is pride. It is written in Prob 15:33 – “The fear of the Lord is the instruction of wisdom; and BEFORE HONOUR IS HUMILITY.” The opposite of pride is humility. If you can put off the garment and spirit of pride your goodness and greatness will come easily and swiftly. We are told about someone in the Bible his name was Lucifer in the book of Isaiah 13:12-19. He was great but pride brought him down and he lost all his glories.

The word of the Lord declared – “pride goeth before destruction and an haughty spirit before a fall” (Prov 16:18). “When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom”. (Prov 11:2). I pray for you that pride will not deny you your joy and glorious life.

  1. FREE SEX (FORNICATION AND ADULTERY). Every act of sexual intercourse outside legal marriage is free sex and according to God’s word it is regarded as fornication and adultery. This include pre-marital sex, prostitution, whoredom, lesbianism, masturbation, homosexualism and gay sex. Anyone who engages himself/herself in any of these will surely incure God’s wrath and curse plus loss of glorious life. Please take your bible and read the book of Judges 17:1-31. The man Samson who was born great lost everything and became small boy because of sex which could have been avoided. Samson fell through a woman called Delilah. A mighty man of war, valour and conqueror became a toy, puppet and game before those he once conquered and he died without achieving all-round glory. What about Reuben, the first born of Jacob, can we read this together Gen. 49:3-4. “Reuben, thou art my firstborn, my might, and the beginning of my strength, the excellency of dignity, and the excellency of power: Unstable as water, thou shalt not excel; because thou wentest up to thy father’s bed; then defiledst thou it: he went up to my couch.”  Reuben committed the sin of sex with the father’s concubine Bilhah (Gen 35:22). This singular act took away his first born inheritance, he lost power, position, property and possession of dignity and excellency and earned shame, slavery and sorrow. The consequences of Reuben’s free sex was far more than the two minutes enjoyment. Why must you become another free sex victim like Samson and Reuben? Be warned.
  2. PLEASURE: Any act of satisfying the flesh and self. It is written in the last days ie now people shall be lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God. (2 Tim 3:4). Are you a lover of pleasures more than lover of God? Pleasure has ruined many great and glorious lives and denied many of their desired goal and ambition. You will not be the next victim in Jesus name. Amen. It is not a gain saying that many spend their hard earned income (salary, profit, gains, dividends) on pleasures. The prodigal son in Luke 15 is an epitome of lover of pleasure. He took his inheritance from the father and went to a far country …and there wasted his substance with riotous living (Luke 15:13). He became poor and lived on the swine food.

The wisest man said “He that loveth pleasure shall be a poor man: he that loveth wine and oil shall not be rich. (Prov 21:17)

Although, some have said, it does not matter, one should enjoy life. It is not the same thing with indulging in pleasure. Pleasure is an excess enjoyment and foolish act of wasteful spending on non-profitable things which can only give few minutes satisfaction. The righteous man Noah became a unrighteous by pleasure in wine. Pleasure is ungodly delight in things that give temporary happiness. Therefore, delight yourself in godly and glorious ventures, things, acts and you will have your glorious plans coming to fulfilment. I pray that you will put away ungodly delight in Jesus name.

12. IDOLATRY: The worship of any god or gods is idolatry. The moment you refuse to serve the creator and you serve the creature you are an idolater. God’s anger is upon all idolaters. God said to us in Exodus 20:3 “Thou shall have no other gods before me”. In the New Testament we are warned in these words: Little children keep yourselves from idols. Amen (I John 5:21). Why this injunction? Idolatry is putting God down and raising things He has created above Him. This is a grievous thing – we have idols of gold, silver, wood, images, money etc. Any of these must be avoided. The first privileged man to be termed priest i.e Aaron became an enemy of God and lost Canaan Land for he died in the wilderness because of the sin of idolatry. In Exodus 32:1-6, Aaron made a golden calf for Israel when Moses went to Mount Sinai, consequently, he died in the wilderness. You will not lose your glory and miss the promise land in Jesus name. You must worship only God, unto Him you must bow. Read this aloud “Wherefore my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry” (1 Cor 10:14). Every idol worshiper will not make heaven, that is the ultimate goal of the devil, to take people to hell and lake of fire, hence he devised idolatry. You must be wise, heaven is God’s prepared place for you, you will not miss heaven in Jesus name. The only way is to be born again and serve only the true God through Jesus Christ. It is said by Jesus Christ – “I am the way, the truth and the life, no man come to God except through me” John 14:16. God bless you see you in heaven at last.

A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the foolish/simple pass on, and are punished.  (Prov. 27:12)

Wisdom is the principal thing in all your getting get understanding. To be fore warned is to be fore harmed. It is necessary to take heed to avoid these special 12 killers of glorious life.

God has good plans and purposes for us, however, certain things usually destroy the good agenda of life. If you can avoid, abstain from and control yourself concerning the following killers, your life will be glorious.

  1. DISOBEDIENCE: This is an act of going against given instruction, law, commandment and directives. Many people today are children of disobedience thereby they are losing glorious blessings, or have lost glorious blessings. It is written in the book of Hebrews 2:2 “…and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward”. We have read in the beginning how Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the forbidden fruit. The consequences were: curse, lost of glory (they became naked), lost of the garden of Eden (they became vagabond), God chased them out of the garden of Eden. Read Gen. 3:15-24. Finally, death came upon all men because of that singular disobedience.

Moses lost 80 years labour because he struck the rock as against the instruction to speak to the rock. Read Numbers 20:7-13. Moses did not enter the land of Canaan because of disobedience. King Saul lost kingship and throne because of disobedience, read I Sam. 15:16-28. There are many others who lost glorious life because of disobedience, you will not be the next victim of disobedience.

  1. ANGER: Anger is an outburst of emotion. It is written “be not hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger resteth in the bosom of fools” (Eccl 7:9). Eph 4:34 counsels us to put away all anger. Please, remember how Moses in great anger struck the rock and water gushed out and that singular act denied him a land flowing with milk and honey, Num. 20:7-13. At another time anger made Moses to break the 12 commandments slate received on the mount after 40 days & nights of fasting and prayer. Things that will cause anger will come but it is written “…be angry and sin not” Eph. 4:26. This means control, discipline yourself in the moment of anger. Prov. 22:24 warned that you must not make friendship with an angry man. Please, pray about your anger and do away with it before it destroys your glorious blessings.
  2. LIE: This is falsehood. The Bible declares that Satan is a liar and the father of all liars (John 8:44). In the beginning he lied and today he is still lying. In Psalm 119:163 God said I hate lying but love the law.

Rachael lied to her father that she did not take the father’s idol, and that caused her untimely death (Gen 31:32-35, 35:16-17). She lost everything she had laboured for because she lied and curse was placed on whomsoever stole the idol. Ananias with Saphira his wife sold a possession and kept back part of the price and brought a certain part  to the Apostles. They lied to Apostle Peter that the amount they brought was the exact amount they sold the land, but they died instantly because of their lie (Acts 5:1-11).

You must stop lying so as to enjoy your glorious blessings and even have great blessings.

  1. LUST: This is an inordinate fleshly desire. We have lust of the flesh which usually leads to smoking, drinking, gluttony, fornication, adultery etc. We also have lust of the eye which is primarily evil enticement, this can be caused by many things but they can be control. The Bible warned us in I John 2:15-17. “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”

The devil usually test and tempt us in the area of lust. Adam and Eve were victims of lust, Gen. 3:5-6. They lost all the glorious possession and design of God for them. Jesus was tempted by the same method, Matt. 4:4-10. But He was victorious, please control your appetite and flesh in other not to loose God ordained and your personal glorious blessings.

  1. STEALING: Taking what belongs to others without their consent. We are warned that let him that stole steal no more (Eph 4:28) because Rachael died untimely because she stole her father’s gods, Judas Iscariot was a thief (John 12:4-6), consequently he lost his position as an apostle and disciple of Jesus. Return if possible what you have stolen and repent. If not possible, repent and steal no more, let us read Judges 17:1-4, “And there was a man of mount Ephraim, whose name was Micah. And he said unto his mother, The eleven hundred shekels of silver that were taken from thee, about which thou cursedst, and spakest of also in mine ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it. And his mother said, Blessed be thou of the Lord, my son.  And when he had restored the eleven hundred shekels of silver to his mother, his mother said, I had wholly dedicated the silver unto the Lord from my hand for my son, to make a graven image and a molten image: now therefore I will restore it unto thee. Yet he restored the money unto his mother; and his mother took two hundred shekels of silver, and gave them to the founder, who made thereof a graven image and a molten image: and they were in the house of Micah. Glory be to God.
  2. NEGLIGENCE: This is to abandon your duties and responsibilities, it is also putting away or procrastinating. The negligence of Eli caused him a rare privilege to be a priest forever with his household before the Lord. His children became wayward and Eli neglected parental role because of his priest role. This ought not to be so, you must balance all your assignments, as a mother, as a father, yet as an employee or employer, pastor, etc. None of your assignments must jeopardise the other, it is a key that you must adhere to. Negligence is a great killer and destroyer in our society today. many parents neglect their parental roles for work, career, job, position and parties/occasions. Let this be reversed. Eli lost all because of negligence I Sam 3:11-18; I Sam 2:30-31, “And the Lord said to Samuel, Behold, I will do a thing in Israel, at which both the ears of every one that heareth it shall tingle. In that day I will perform against Eli all things which I have spoken concerning his house: when I begin, I will also make an end. For I have told him that I will judge his house for ever for the iniquity which he knoweth; because his sons made themselves vile, and he restrained them not. And therefore I have sworn unto the house of Eli, that the iniquity of Eli’s house shall not be purged with sacrifice nor offering for ever. And Samuel lay until the morning, and opened the doors of the house of the Lord. And Samuel feared to shew Eli the vision. Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he answered, Here am I.  And he said, What is the thing that the Lord hath said unto thee? I pray thee hide it not from me: God do so to thee, and more also, if thou hide any thing from me of all the things that he said unto thee. And Samuel told him every whit, and hid nothing from him. And he said, It is the Lord: let him do what seemeth him good.” “Wherefore the Lord God of Israel saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now the Lord saith, Be it far from me; for them that honour me I will honour, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed. Behold, the days come, that I will cut off thine arm, and the arm of thy father’s house, that there shall not be an old man in thine house. In a single day, Eli and his sons, and daughters-in-law died. Your generation will not perish.

To be continued in the subsequent edition.

Fruits of Heavenly Christians (Part III)

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.  A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. WHEREFORE BY THEIR FRUITS YE SHALL KNOW THEM. (Matt. 17:15-20)

Wow! We have come to the last part of this series of fruits of heavenly Christians. Better is the end of a matter than the beginning. Also, the last words of person in any issue is usually the best. God usually reveals the best at last.

The last R is in the word: Reverence.

REVERENCE: Eulabeia (Greek & Hebrew word). This is a feeling of profound awe and respect and fear of Him (God). God arouses a feeling of reverence in those who worship and serve Him because of His majesty and holiness.

Heb 12 28-29 “Let us therefore, receiving a kingdom that is firm and stable and cannot be shaken, offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship, with modesty and pious care and godly fear and awe; For our God [is indeed] a consuming fire”. (AMP). All those who desire heaven and not hell will consciously and continuously reverence God.

Reverence include the following: Acceptable worship, modesty in service, pious care, godly fear and awe, and love of God and others (neighbours).

Reverence is an indispensable factor and fruit of heavenly Christians. Please, mindfully follow me as we expound this word reverence in this presentation.

  1. Acceptable worship: This means some worship are not acceptable. The acceptable worship is the kind of worship unto Almighty God through the name of Jesus and by the Holy Spirit from a holy, genuinely converted Christian.

Any other worship to other gods are regarded as religion, which is idolatry by those who are not converted Christians.

In Rom. 12:1-2, Apostle Paul declared to us by the Holy Spirit and said “I beseech you therefore, brethren, (holy Christians) by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable (acceptable) service, and be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God”.

It is clear from this scripture that acceptable service is offered by a genuinely born again Christian who is also living a holy life and who has crucified flesh and live only by grace of God and His spirit to serve God in acceptable manner.

Please, let no man or woman of God, brother and sister deceive you by telling you that it does not matter what you do with your body, and that God is only concerned with your soul.

The word of God is the only infallible authority that must be followed and obeyed not human beings who are of deceit and greed with great selfishness and self interest to profit in worldly things.

The Bible instructed us to present our body a living sacrifice (Rom 12:1), I Corinth 6:19-20 states “What? know ye not that your BODY is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify (reverence) God in your BODY, and in your SPIRIT, which are God’s.”

Furthermore, I Corinth 3:16-17 confirm thus “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.”

It is mandatory therefore, for heavenly minded Christians to offer acceptable worship, keep their body holy (avoid tattoos, avoid worldly adornment, avoid worldly permitted practices). Worship God in spirit and truth, and at the time acceptable and don’t be conformed to worldly religious practices.

  1. Modesty in service: This is the principle of moderation and the avoidance of indecency. In reverence to God we must be modest in service. Phil 4:5, it is written, “Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.” This means, if you want to make heaven, you must do things in a relatively low key and not flamboyant ways of this world. The word is at hand means Jesus is coming soon. Modest in service include avoidance of indecency, you must dress decently not exposing your parts as is the way of this world. As a lady cover your head in worship and prayer (I Cor 11:1-15) Don’t follow those who preach otherwise, they are not your God the author of the Bible. As a brother dress decently and don’t plait your hair nor wear earrings.
  2. Pious Care: This is holy living and giving attention to godly things. In Col 3:1-2 “…Set your affection on things above (heaven), not on things on the earth”. Jesus said in Matt. 6:19-21 “…lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, …For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also”. Those who are heavenly minded Christians are not encumbered with things of this world, because we are warned in I John 2:15-17 “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him…”

The things you should love is soul wining, Christian serve, helping the widow and orphans and godly commandments etc.

  1. Godly fear and awe: The fear of God is to run away from evil and things that are not pleasing unto him. (Job 28:28). The great preacher having said many things said, Let us hear the conclusion of the matter. “FEAR GOD and KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS FOR THIS IS THE WHOLE DUTY OF MAN, for God shall bring every work into judgement, with every secret thing, whether it be good or whether it be evil” (Ecc 12:13-14).

It highly recommend that we should fear Him who is able to kill and destroy and nobody can question Him and at last cast into lake of fire. God is a consuming fire that is the greatest reason why we should fear if we must make heaven. Whatever, He has said he will do, heaven and hell is real only those who fear God and run away from sin and evil will make heaven.

  1. Love of God and neighbours: Jesus said, the greatest law is this “…Love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: …Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself…” (Mark 12:29-31)

Hello friends, this kind of love is unfeign, love towards God and human being. Love all without discrimination, this kind of love is unconditional, no tribalism, no nepotism, no racism, no structuralism, but love God and all He has created. The less-privileged, the down trodden, those who cannot reciprocate your generosity must also be loved. Read this “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love”. I john 4:7-8. Our love for God  propels us to reverence, obey and fear Him.

Conclusively, REVERENCE is a fruit you will manifest if you are really desirous of heaven. Attend church services, pray privately and in all your Christian services and activities reverence God. The fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance (Gal 5:22-23) which must be added to your Christian virtue if you must make heaven at last. See you in heaven by the grace and mercy of God wrapped in obedience to His commandment. Matt 7:21-23, make right restitution now and prepare for heaven daily.

Incase you missed the previous part Fruits of Heavenly Christians II, Fruits of Heavenly Christians I

Fruits of Heavenly Christians (Part II)

(Matt. 17:15-20)

In this series we are considering the fruits of heavenly Christians. One thing that is constant is change, therefore as you read this message I beseech you to change, amend your ways because heaven is the most important place in God’s plan for all human being irrespective of your tribe, race, colour, religion and location. Heaven is real, forget about any teaching that says it is false. The only book which contains TRUTH of GOD is Bible, please believe it.

Today we shall consider three other fruits of the heavenly Christians: reconciliation, reproof and retain.

RECONCILIATION – This is an act restoring friendly relations between you and God first and others. Apostle Paul equivocally in 2 Cor. 5:20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

It is a call that comes to us as heavenly minded Christians. This call means that if you find yourself in any situation that destroys your holy relationship, fellowship, communionship and worship with God quickly address it, remove it, delete, eliminate and expunge it, that your fellowship with God is immediately restored. In other words, if you suddenly fall into sin, or err, you must deal instantly, confess, forsake the sin and restore your relationship with God.

This is why Jesus taught us how to pray, by saying, “forgive us our sins as we forgive those that sin against us.” Matthew 6:12. This is reconciliation with God and others. As earlier said, reconciliation is two parts, with God and with others. If any offend you, you must forgive immediately and settle the differences because those who keep malice will go to hell and lake of fire. According to Matt. 5:24, it is written “be ye reconciled to your brother…” If you have any disagreement with anyone reconcile now, Eph 4:26.

In the final note, we have been given the ministry of reconciliation. Jesus Christ has reconciled us unto God at salvation and we should go ahead to also reconcile others to Christ by preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ. 2 Cor. 5:16-20 “Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God.

This is a fruit of heavenly Christians. They practise reconciliation – with God, with others and also preach daily the ministry of reconciliation. Failure to preach Christ daily amounts to plan to go to hell/lake of fire.

Rom 1:16 “ For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” The Apostles continued daily with one accord on the temple and daily move from house to house, street to street, village to village, town to town, city to city preaching the gospel as Jesus did, it is a fruit of a heavenly Christian. When did you preach Christ last? Are you sure, you are still a heavenly Christian? Where is your first love and zeal for the kingdom of heaven? Reconcile someone daily to God. It is a command, go ye therefore…

REPROOF – This is to reprimand, warn, rebuke and show someone where his fault is. Apostle Paul exhorted Pastor Timothy in clear terms “preach the word, be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine” 2Tim 4:2. You must have a perfect hatred for sins but you must have a perfect love for sinners. The hatred for sin will make you to reprove sin, not to compromise your stand for purity and holiness but rather to see sin and rebuke it. This is not condemning people and put on the attitude of holier than others. No! It is to hate sin and encourage sinners to abandon sin and come to Christ to live a life of holiness. This you can do by three ways: Purity within and without, plucking  impurity and planting purity.

Matt. 7:3-6 “And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.  Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.”

You must make yourself a living proof of holiness and purity, then use the word of God and lifestyle evangelism to pluck out sins in the lives of others and plant purity in them by constant fellowship with the word of God and people of God in the place of God (church). You must encourage and invite others to fellowship, church, programmes and allow them to abide and grow in Christ, by so doing you have reproved sins and planted purity in their lives.

Jesus will reprove the world of sin, and righteousness and of judgment (John 16:8). We are the Jesus of today. It should be noted that those things that are called sin must not be mentioned among us: fornication, adultery, lying, stealing.

The word of God expressly condemns hypocrites because they live double life, our salvation and holiness without compromise. However, it is unfortunate that we live in a society where evil is highly celebrated eg sagging, lying, materialism, entertainment in churches, nudity, worldliness, boys plaiting and wearing earings and no reproof. In the beginning it was not so. Do you remember how Phinehas the son of Eleazer, the son of Aaron the priest turned away God’s wrath upon Israel when he destroyed Zimri and Coszbi who brought abomination to Israelites camp? Num 25:6-15. We need more Phinehas today, to stamp out evil in our society. Will you be another Phinehas? or Elijah who put an end to Baal prophets? I Kings 18:40.

Sin and corruption is destroying the fabric of our society today because we don’t reprove, rebuke, reprimand and condemn the acts. Rather, churches, christian gathering and christians are imbibing them.

This ought not to be so. It is written: If thy brother trespass rebuke him… Luke 17:3.

Will you continue to celebrate evil or reprove evil? Will your life encourage evil habits or reprove them?

Will heaven accommodate these ungodly acts?

RETAIN – It is a word of power and command. It means to keep it safe, to abide, to maintain, to sustain and continue in it. Our Lord Jesus Christ said “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples”. John 15:7-8.

You cannot retain what you have not received. You cannot receive what you have not believed. You cannot believe what you have not understood. How much of the Bible do you know? How often do you study the Bible? How often do you meditate on the word of God? Many heavenly christians will miss heaven because of their ignorance of the word of God. It is my counsel that you go back to the Bible and reduce your attention, concentration and utilisation of electronic media (especial social media).

To retain our holiness, zealousness, righteousness, prayerfulness and spirituality we need to daily walk in the word of God by reading, studying, meditation, preaching and doing it. (Joshua 1:8) “This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.”

When you see a heavenly minded chrisitan, he/she retains his salvation, holiness and service unto God without reduction rather increasing daily. Job retained his fellowship and integrity to qualify for God’s blessings (Job 2:9).

Let us consider Psalm 15:1-4 “Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart. He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour. In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord. He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not. Consider the underlined expression. it means he retained his confession, commitment and changeth not. Have you not changed? In your attempt to be like them in our dressing, talk, activities, association, work etc, have you not changed? You have not retained the knowledge of God in you, hence you have changed (Rom 1:28). It is dangerous. Remember, when Gideon changed and rebuilt the alter of baal which he earlier destroyed, God killed him.

Anyone who failed to retain his/her salvation, commitment and holiness is called backslider. Jesus said unto him, no man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back is fit for the kingdom of God. (Luke 9:62).

Why must you backslide? Is it because of this present world?

Read this meditatively Rom 8:35, 38-39 “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” It means these things that make us to change and not to retain our first love. What will you do now? Won’t you go back to God? Won’t you retain and regain your first love?

If heaven is your desired habitation after this life, you must take to these teachings and make a wise choice. God bless us. it continues in part III.

Fruits of Heavenly Christians

(Matt. 17:15-20)

The Kind of a tree is only known by its fruit. Thus, the kind of a person can only be known by its fruit. This message is a call unto genuine examination for all those who desire to inherit heaven after this life, because our life here determines our abode hereafter. The fruit is the revelation of the  true identity of a tree, just as the speech and character is the dress of mind.

The only Saviour of the world, who came from the father in heaven, the only begotten son in whom the father is well pleased was kind to reveal to us that by “their fruits ye shall know them”. Please, don’t point any accusing finger at anybody, but examine yourself first, repent and pray and preach to others.

Let us examine the fruits of heavenly christians from saviours declaration.

  1. REPENTANCE: “Jesus began to preach and to say, REPENT for the kingdom of heaven is at hand” (Matt. 4:17). The word “REPENT” from Jesus Christ is a command to all living being who intends to make heaven his/her habitation after this life. We shall examine this word in detail.

REPENTANCE is metanoia in Greek word.. a change of mind. It means four major processes.

  • To feel or express remorse about something and change
  • To change from any existing cause of behaviour
  • To turn away from a particular way to a new way
  • To turn from the way of sin, satan and darkness unto righteousness, God and light.

John the Baptist in accordance with the Saviour’s command said, “bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance” (Matt. 3:8)

The first fruit expected from all mankind and genuine christians is repentance.

Repentance means a total turn around/away from all previous, former, old ways, habits, behaviour, conversation, friendship, dressing, association, religion, belief, custom, tradition, ungodliness, immoralities, sinfulness, pleasures, treaties, fellowships, unfruitful work of darkness, smoking, drinking, homosexualism, lesbianism, sure bets, fornication, adultery, lies, evil thoughts, murder, malice, reviling, thefts, false witness, blasphemies, fighting, idolatry, pride, deceit, abuse, extortion, fraud, covetousness and worldliness unto God and all his commandments.

What we have noticed in the churches today is a mere confession of being born again without repentance. The process is repentance first which means you are remorseful about your ways of sin, and you consciously determine to change by turning away from all the old things which do not glorify God and you come to Jesus Christ the Saviour with desire for a new life and you confess your sins, forsake them and ask for forgiveness and accept Jesus as your Lord and Saviour (i.e. salvation).

The result of the above is a new life in Christ and then the scripture will be fulfilled that “if any man be in Christ, he/she is a NEW CREATURE; old things are passed away; behold all things are become new” (2 Cor 5:17).

But today, we have recycling, remodeling, replacing and redesigning without repentance. The old romance with sin continues, habit and character not changed, the dressing and conversation more like an unbeliever and worldly style being copied into the church. This is not salvation but simonation.

In Acts of Apostles chapter 8, a man called Simon, disguised to be saved without repentance which should lead to a new heart. The bible described him: “But there was a certain man, called Simon, which beforetime in the same city used sorcery, and bewitched the people of Samaria, giving out that himself was some great one:” (verse 9). However, when he saw the power of God and Holy Ghost being received by laying of hands by the apostles, he offered them money so that they can give him the power. “But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee,  … for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may be forgiven thee… (Acts 8:20-23)

All your parades in church programmes, your attendance contribution, tithes and offering and activities in church and title plus office are not the same with repentance which is the first step before salvation. Although, the pastor, people around you might not know, or confront you but God knows and you should know by now that repentance is the prerequisite to salvation without which no man will see God. Man looketh at the outward but God looketh into what no diagnostic instrument can see that is your secret person that is your spirit mind which is the real you.

Repentance is the first fruit God is asking for unto salvation.

“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord”. (Acts 3:19).

Give your heart unto God for a surgical operation and allow Jesus Christ unto your heart with all the necessary change in your conversation, association, character, dressing and tradition, then the holy spirit and the word of God will continue to feed you and you will continue to grow in God and you are sure heaven is your home after this life.
